Cate Romancing Edward Gant

It’s my marketing dream come true. A story about our upcoming co-production with Sydney Theatre Company, Edward Gant’s Amazing Feats of Loneliness, on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar!!! The fact that Cate Blanchett is the Artistic Director of STC probably helped. Also the fact that she is a huge advocate for, and looks unbelievable in, Romance Was Born, who are doing the costumes for the show.

The article talks about Cate, the show and the costumes. Oh the costumes! I can’t wait! As imagined by Romance Was Born we will see the likes of a mirror-ball-encrusted cape and a dress covered in jammy rolls. Some of the costumes are currently in India being beaded and bedazzled before arriving at La Boite in a couple of weeks’ time. There is also rumour of a costume that turns into a house that one of the actors steps out of. Amazing!

This show is a must see for anyone who like theatre or fashion. ‘A filthy evening of theatrical bad taste’ (the Guardian (UK))  Edward Gant’s Amazing Feats of Loneliness will be theatre at its most theatrical. I advise all my friends and lovers to get along to see it from 14 May -12 June at La Boite.
